It’s estimated that Newgrange was built around 5000 years ago making it older than both the great Pyramids and Stonehenge. Newgrange was built during the Neolithic time and is believed to be an ancient temple and a place of astrological, spiritual, religious and ceremonial importance. Newgrange is famous for the illumination of this passages and chamber during the winter solstice sun.
